Compensation of expenses from Kela
Kela reimburses up to 60% of the costs for medical preventive care (in particular, for measures included mandatory by law) and up to 50% of the costs for treating employees. The amount of the reimbursement depends on the number of employees and the form of the company. We have created a calculator for you that will help you calculate the maximum possible reimbursement from Kela for Työterveyshuolto expenses.
Self-employed individuals covered by YEL insurance receive compensation immediately upon paying their bills, while companies have the opportunity to receive reimbursement from Kela within six months after the end of the fiscal year.
The main thing to understand is that Kela does not simply reimburse a part of the paid bills, but the costs of actually completed work according to the annual Työterveyshuolto action plan. In particular, if you have purchased a fixed-cost package but have only completed a small part of the planned work, then only a small part of the package cost will be reimbursed. At the end of the financial year, we will prepare your annual report for Kela.
You need to provide form SV98a, which is a report on työterveyshuolto activities carried out and the company's expenses for them. The cost of this work is included in the price.
Foreign companies operating in Finland have the right to compensation from Kela provided that contributions are paid into the Finnish pension fund. If pension contributions are paid in another country, there is no right to compensation from Kela.
We will ensure the efficiency of your employees at reasonable prices.
