Infertility treatment
Infertility treatment always starts with diagnostic studies aimed at identifying the causes of reproductive function disorders.
The optimal time to conduct research is the 5th to 10th day of the menstrual cycle.
The diagnostic research package includes:
- Gynecological examination, medical history collection (information about past and chronic diseases, surgical interventions, menstrual cycle, etc.)
- Ultrasound visualization of the pelvic cavity with sonography of the uterus allows the determination of the patency of the fallopian tubes, the size and shape of the uterus, the presence of muscular nodes (fibroids), their height and quality, as well as providing information about the condition of the ovaries, the growth of follicles and the presence of cysts or endometriosis.
- Hormonal studies determine the level of follicle-stimulating and luteinizing hormone, several fractions of prolactin, estrogen, progesterone, anti-Müllerian hormone (provides information about the ovum reserve), as well as thyroid hormones.
- A standard part of the examination also includes a general blood test, inflammation marker study, and liver tests.
If there are any accompanying diseases, other tests may be required. You should bring your existing medical records which may be useful for your doctor’s diagnosis. You can check out the current prices here
