Remote doctor's appointment without booking
(available only to employees of companies that have contracts with us for Työterveyshuolto medical services)
You can get a doctor's consultation, apply for a sick leave, receive and renew a prescription immediately without prior reservation.
Secure online chat with a nurse
(available only to employees of companies that have contracts with us for Työterveyshuolto)
- In a secure online chat during working hours, you can ask any questions related to your health.
- If you are unsure about what to do in a situation concerning your health, contact the online chat with a nurse, she will give you all the necessary advice and instructions.
- In the secure online chat, you can send us photos and files and receive documents from our medical center (for example, a sick leave certificate).

If such an opportunity is provided by the contract for your company's Työterveyshuolto, then in case of medical indications, the nurse will refer you to a face-to-face appointment with doctors from any of the 19 AAVA medical centers (6 in Helsinki, Vantaa and Espoo, 5 in other Uusimaa cities, 2 in Tampere, 2 in Turku, 2 in Oulu, 1 in Hämeenlinna and 1 in Kuopio), who will serve you on our behalf and at our request.
Video reception
(available from Finland and from abroad)
- Do not use video reception in case of severe stomach, chest and head pain, severe heartbeat disturbances, and acute shortness of breath. In these cases, you should immediately seek assistance from emergency doctors.
- First, you need to book an appointment with the specialist of your choice.

- Video reception works on Android smartphones, laptops and computers on various browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge), as well as on iPad and iPhone devices.
- During the video call, you will be able to send photographs and files to the doctor and receive documents from our medical center (for example, a sick leave certificate).
To participate in the video reception you need to:
- Internet connection.
- The main device from which you will communicate (computer, laptop, smartphone, etc.), which has a camera and a microphone.
- We recommend that you use Chrome or Firefox browsers on Android devices, and Safari on iPhone and iPad devices.
- Our video communication is safe and secured with double encryption, it has all the necessary security certificates established by EU legislation.
How to get to a video reception?
- 24 hours before the booked time, you will receive an SMS on your phone, and an email with direct links to connect to video reception.
- If necessary, you will be able to cancel your reserved video appointment no later than 12 hours before the scheduled time. If you cancel less than 12 hours in advance or do not show up for your reserved video appointment, we reserve the right to bill you for the missed appointment.
- Alternatively, you can join the video reception via the "My MEDFIN" button in the main menu of our website.
- Please make sure in advance that both the camera and the microphone are connected to your device.
- If you are outside of Finland, please take into account the time difference between Helsinki and your city.
